The countdown has begun! New York’s Fountain Art Fair is coming to Los Angeles from September 30-October 2, 2011. Fountain is an exhibition of avant garde artwork in New York during Armory week, Miami during Art Basel Miami Beach and Los Angeles during Pacific Standard Time weekend. “Returning Fountain favorites, including Brian Leo’s color blasted political satire, Greg Haberny’s trash and thrash Americana, street artist GILF!’s money-where-your-mouth-is arresting visuals, Ryan Cronin’s pop-saturated creations and the west coast’s own neo abstract expressionist Carly Ivan Garcia, are just a taste of what you will encounter at Fountain L.A.  So take note – this is one fair you don’t want to miss.” –Fountain Art Fair.

Dig In Magazine artists that will be showcasing their artwork at Fountain include Carly Ivan Garcia, Brian Leo, and Greg Haberny. Neo-Abstract artist, Carly Ivan Garcia, a leader in the West Coast avant garde movement will hold a solo show sponsored by Fountain Art Fair, Tinca Art, Juxtapoz, and Warholian.com. Other notable sponsors include Dig In Magazine, Patron of the ArtsSmartEnergy, and LA Weekly.

San Francisco Bay Area artist, Carly Ivan Garcia, is an artist that pushes the boundaries of contemporary art and freedom of expression. In 2009, he participated in two Miami art shows. One of which he showed with the amazingly talented Lawrence Gartel, the famous digital art computer legend and another within Miami’s Art Basel at Graffiti Gone Global. Further, Garcia was highlighted in both Fountain Miami 2010 and Fountain New York 2011.

New York-based artist, Brian Leo, is known for his Pop, Surrealist, Expressionist and sometimes Minimalist artistic expressions, which often communicate political and cultural turmoil and senarios. His artwork is inspired by personal experience, media, pop culture, technology and mundane things, social observations, as well as timeless themes, such as human greed. Brian Leo is a veteran to Fountain Art Fair. Christina Ray Gallery hosted a solo show for Leo from March 19, 2011 – April 17, 2011. Leo was also a featured artist at Carly Ivan Garcia’s RAW Art Gallery Exhibit in Oakland, California on August 5, 2011.

An artist who “colors outside the lines,” New York-based artist, Greg Haberny, refuses to be defined by an exclusive style, trend or movement. Instead, he aims to be true to himself, attempting to be defined by nothing and to defy everything. An internationally acclaimed artist, Haberny, equipped with a background in filmmaking, designs his installations much like a filmmaker would design a movie set. Incorporating music and in some cases performers, his goal is to totally transform the gallery into an environment that is a completely different experience involving sight and sound. Haberny, fresh off of a trip to Berlin in which he showed work at Strychnine Gallery, was spotlighted in a television story by Reuter’s Press, and was a featured artist at the RAW Art Gallery Exhibit on May 6, 2011.
