LFW 2017: Youjia Jin S/S18 | Fashion Scout London

19 Sep, 2017

Dig In Magazine’s Fashion Editor/Photographer had the unique opportunity to experience the Youjia Jin Spring/Summer 2018 Fashion Presentation hosted by Fashion Scout London.  Set in a cloakroom filled with models and dancers from around the world who wore fifteen womenswear and menswear looks, it was a show that changed the way one looks at fashion. The clothing on display consisted on 100% natural fabrics of fine wool, silk and cotton–a collection that featured Youjia Jin’s neutral grey tones signature tailoring. The performance was set in the original 1930s grandeur of the cloakroom of London’s Freemasons’ Hall with its classic Art Deco style at a location that has been home to London Fashion Week for years. In this multifaceted performance, the designer celebrates the cool, cutting edge, cosmopolitan yet classic aspects of London. Jin, trained in both Beijing and London, works with an international team with the goal of celebrating the openness of the city of London and the opportunities it offers all who live there.
