Justin Timberlake to Receive iHeartRadio Innovator Award

The iHeartRadio Music Awards will honor Justin Timberlake with its most prestigious award of the evening, the 2015 iHeartRadio Innovator Award. The event will feature the biggest names in entertainment, bringing the music of the iHeartRadio app to life on Sunday, March 29 live on NBC from 8-11 p.m. ET/PT from the historic Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles and hosted by Oscar and Grammy award winning actor and musician, who will also perform at the awards, Jamie Foxx. The iHeartRadio Music Awards will broadcast simultaneously on iHeartMedia stations nationwide and across the iHeartRadio digital music platform.

Only a handful of musicians in history have transcended all artistic boundaries, whether through music collaborations, acting, comedy, variety, putting together one of the biggest albums in recent history or staging the biggest and most technically ambitious tour of the last 2 years. iHeartRadio will honor Grammy and Emmy award winning artist Justin Timberlake for his unparalleled position in the entertainment world and will pay tribute to his significant contributions to the music industry.

Timberlake swept the 2014 Billboard Music Awards taking home seven Awards including Top Artist, Top Billboard 200 Artist, Top Male Artist, Top Radio Songs Artist, Top R&B Artist, Top R&B Album and Top Billboard 200 Album. He also has received three People’s Choice Awards, three GRAMMY Awards, three ASCAP Awards, a Nickelodeon Kids Choice Award and a Radio Disney Music Award. These awards bring his grand total of awards to 25 for The 20\20 Experience – The Complete Experience since it was released in March 2013.

The 20\20 Experience – The Complete Experience has been critically well received and was the best-selling album worldwide in 2013. To date it has sold more than 5 million albums and 15 million tracks. The album celebrates Timberlake as the highest debut for a male artist in the last six years. The album held the No. 1 spot in both the Top 200 (three weeks) and R&B album chart (10 weeks). He is one of the most followed people in the world on social media with a total of more than 95 million followers across all his platforms.

His extensive entertainment career also includes many film credits such as Coen Brothers’ Inside Llewyn Davis; Clint Eastwood’s Trouble with the Curve; Will Gluck’s Friends with Benefits; Jake Kasdan’s comedy Bad Teacher; In Time, directed by Andrew Niccol; crime drama Alpha Dog and Black Snake Moan writer-director Craig Brewer’s follow up to his Sundance hit Hustle & Flow. The four-time Emmy Award winner has also hosted five memorable episodes of “Saturday Night Live” and several of his sketches have become viral video sensations, including “D**k in a Box,” which not only has been viewed over 100 million times on YouTube but earned Timberlake his first Emmy Award. He won a second Emmy Award in 2009 for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series for hosting “SNL.”
