Eddie Redmayne Shines in THEORY OF EVERYTHING
22 Nov, 2014
In director James Marsh’s Theory of Everything, Stephen Hawking (Eddie Redmayne) is a brilliant and bright-eyed cosmologist studying for his Ph.D at Cambridge. Receiving high marks on his doctorate thesis in which he solves intricate mathematical equations and scientific problems, his future as a scientist looks limitless. In his personal life, he meets fellow Cambridge student Jane Wilde (Felicity Jones) who becomes the love his life. But tragically at the age of 21, he is diagnosed with a motor neuron disease and given only two years to live. This illness leaves him paralyzed and over time, unable to speak through his vocal cords. Jane and Stephen fight the disease through three children and numerous awards and merits. Hawking becomes a famous scientist and author and is even invited to be knighted by the Queen of England–an honor which he declines. The film is an inspirational story of human life, strength, love and hope that not even physical limitations can impede.
